The Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah in Morocco is one of the most eye-catching filming locations of the HBO epic series Game of Thrones. The good news for Game of Thrones fans is that we are finally in 2019, and only a few months are left before the release of the eighth and final season of the series in April. For the special occasion, Buzz Bingo has compiled a list of the “Top 10 Most Instagrammed Game of Thrones Filming Locations”. The Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, in the province of Ouarzazate, in southern Morocco, is ranked second on the list of the most “Instagrammed” locations. Ait Ben Haddou appeared in 2013 in the third season of the series as the fictional cities of “Yunkai” and “Pentos” where most scenes with Daenerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke) were filmed. The fortified historical city, Ait Ben Haddou, portrayed as the “slaver city” in the series, provided a captivating setting for Daenerys’ battle with the Second Sons to free the slaves.
With the final season of Game of Thrones just around the corner, fans can expect to be transported back to the stunning world of Westeros and the various filming locations that make up this imaginary realm. And while the story may come to an end, the memories and photos of these iconic filming locations will live on for fans to revisit and remember for years to come.
